Captain Shreve High School is pleased to announce its 2015 Louisiana Boys and Girls State delegates. \u00a0The students will attend a week-long summer camp at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches where they will learn how government works while developing leadership skills and an appreciation for their rights as a citizen. \u00a0Nine Captain Shreve juniors will attend the event. \u00a0Attending Louisiana Boys State are Jared Aymond, Gabriel Clottey, Christian Lindsey, Isaiah Dotson, and James Payne. \u00a0Attending Louisiana Girls State are Samantha Hilburn, Maggie Matkins, Jordan Brint, and Katie Matkins.<\/p>\n
As participants in the program, the students will run for office, learn public speaking, create and enforce laws, and participate in all aspects of creating and working in government.<\/p>\n
