Members of the Captain Shreve girls soccer team recently received notice that their new coach is coming to town with a lot of pizazz on his resume.
\nFormer University of Houston head men\u2019s coach Erik Lane, who has coached boys high school soccer for the past 28 years at three Texas schools, has already begun molding the returning Lady Gators. Lane has a 558-176-114 career coaching record at the high school level.<\/p>\n

Lane and his wife, Jennifer, recently retired from the Texas school system, but he wasn\u2019t ready to retire completely. Jennifer Lane also has family in Shreveport and East Texas, so when he saw the Shreve job posted, he sent in his resume.<\/p>\n
